ABOUT
Anchors Aweigh Capital (AAC) was formed to primarily pursue the buying and selling of maritime related businesses, including shipping, tankers, and ship and boat building companies, as well as industrial, alternative energy, and technology companies. Since the founding of the firm, AAC has investigated and facilitated multiple boat and shipbuilding transactions.
We have raised both debt and equity from strategic partners, private equity firms, and high net-worth individuals. Anchors Aweigh Capital has also made private investments in oil tankers and an alternative energy supplier company. In addition, AAC has provided consulting advice and expertise to numerous marine businesses and private equity firms.

Managing Partner
Skip started his career as a fourth generation shipbuilder and since has achieved proven value creation results for both public and private equity companies. He has an operational orientation and has been involved in multiple restructuring and process improvement initiatives as both a CEO and CFO. Sorenson has been involved in a multitude of M&A transactions during his career, selling and purchasing both private and public companies. He was awarded "CFO of the Year" by DCEO magazine in 2011.

Mike Moran
Managing Director
Mike has a broad background and experience in operational excellence, quality, supply chain management, and process improvements in diverse industries including, aerospace and defense, automotive, medical, commercial electronics and consumer products manufacturing. He began his career as an Aerospace Engineer and served as an officer and pilot in the United States Marine Corps. He is an accomplished leader with proven financial and operational results over the last two decades in both public and private equity companies. He has lead operations related activities for numerous M&A transactions from both the buy and sell side.

Jeremy Clyde
Managing Director
Jeremy is an operational finance executive with significant private equity experience. He has led high tech public and private equity companies through challenging conditions to sustained growth and profitability. Jeremy is a strategic and tactical problem solver that collaborates cross functionally to architect progressive solutions that achieve financial and operational success. He has a proven track record for delivering major company initiatives with ownership of top & bottom line results and operational excellence. He has led financial analysis and modeling for numerous M&A transactions throughout his career.

Mary Rexroat
Director of Operations
Mary is an operational leader with a diverse skill set and passion for business optimization. She has held multiple leadership responsibilities in the biomedical industry including global regulatory affairs, various marketing initiatives, and employee on-boarding, compliance, and training. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biochemistry and Biology in addition to holding the office of Student Body President. Mary was formerly a dual sport collegiate athlete and co-founded a nonprofit that has spread to over twenty universities in order to led students to engage in and track service activities.
