Anchors Aweigh Capital (AAC) was formed to primarily pursue the buying and selling of maritime related businesses, including shipping, tankers, and ship and boat building companies, as well as industrial, alternative energy, and technology companies. Since the founding of the firm, AAC has investigated and facilitated multiple boat and shipbuilding transactions.

We have raised both debt and equity from strategic partners, private equity firms, and high net-worth individuals. Anchors Aweigh Capital has also made private investments in oil tankers and an alternative energy supplier company. In addition, AAC has provided consulting advice and expertise to numerous marine businesses and private equity firms.

Skip started his career as a fourth generation shipbuilder and since has achieved proven value creation results for both public and private equity companies. He has an operational orientation and has been involved in multiple restructuring and process improvement initiatives as both a CEO and CFO. Sorenson has been involved in a multitude of M&A transactions during his career, selling and purchasing both private and public companies. He was awarded "CFO of the Year" by DCEO magazine in 2011.

During her tenure, Jade was responsible for many facets of running a growing business and developed expertise in manufacturing, apparel design, public relations, social media growth, sales, influencer outreach, e-commerce, administrative functions, subscriber acquisition, and content creation. She also has an international operational background, having opened and managed a lifestyle store in Tulum and managed showroom sales in Paris. She's passionate about developing and shaping brand messaging, showcasing her full-service set of design capabilities to generate original and compelling visuals, and collaborating with clients to build innovative partnerships and opportunities
